These sweets and snacks are the perfect way to sweeten any visit to Valle.

Cocadas

A traditional sweet made with grated coconut, panela (unrefined cane sugar), or condensed milk. Cooked until firm and shaped into small portions. Very common at fairs and markets, available in white and golden versions.

Gelatina de Pata

Traditional dessert made with collagen extracted from cow’s feet, mixed with sugar and spices like cinnamon or cloves. It has a firm, gelatinous texture and is considered both energizing and nutritious. Usually sold in small cubes.

Gelatina Blanca y Negra

Variation of the traditional gelatin: the white version is made with milk and sugar, while the black version uses cane molasses or panela, giving it a stronger flavor. Both are popular at food fairs.

Manjar Blanco

Panelitas de Leche

Arroz de Leche

Arroz con leche (rice pudding) is a classic dessert made with rice, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and sometimes lemon zest or raisins. Its creamy texture and sweet flavor make it one of the most beloved homemade recipes in Valle del Cauca. It is usually served cold in individual portions and is common at family gatherings and food fairs.
